Ant and Dec have been amusing the heir to the throne at a charity event today.

The Prince of Wales arrived at Marks and Spencer’s flagship store, in London’s Oxford Street, to attend an event organised by his own youth charity, the Prince’s Trust.

Ant was on hand to greet him at the store and when he took the escalator to the basement he found Dec serving behind the deli counter.

Prince Charles was visiting to see how a group of young people have got on with the Make Your Mark four-week work placement scheme, which is collaboration between M&S and the Prince’s Trust.

The Prince declined to try some Cornish Yarg but Ant stepped forward saying, “I'll try it on your behalf.”

Behind the counter was 23-year-old Rebecca Blythe who moved from South Wales to London for a new start after struggling to get a job. She said: “I'm glad I've done this, the four weeks have been a great success and I've made lots of new friends.”
