Alan Barnes, the Gateshead man given £330,135 by well-wishers after being mugged, is still settling in to this new home.

He told ITV News Tyne Tees: "I can't guarantee that I'll stay here for always". Katie Cutler, who set up the fund after the attack, said she felt Alan might be feeling "lonely" in his new surroundings.

Alan Barnes was attacked outside his former home, also in Gateshead, on Sunday 25th January. He decided that he would not feel safe unless he moved home and he used some of his £330,000 fund to move. His attacker was jailed last month.
