David Cameron was on Teesside today to announce key measures on welfare reform and childcare.

The Prime Minister spoke at a tea factory in Eaglescliffe just five days after his dramatic election victory. He said the Conservatives will help ordinary families to progress and succeed.

He also outlined his commitment to the so-called Northern Powerhouse, which aims to revitalise the economy in the North of England.
