Tyne Tees Weather - Rest of the Weekend

Braxton Hill Credit: LILIAN TOMLIN, Morpeth

The worst of our weekend weather comes through the region during Saturday night and the early part of Sunday. Although not entirely settled, conditions should improve later on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday looks like a drier, brighter and warmer day for most areas.

SATURDAY:

Any sunshine turning increasingly hazy as cloud thickens from the south, with some outbreaks of rain developing during towards late afternoon/ evening. A freshening easterly breeze will give a cool feel. Highs 9°C.

TONIGHT:

Outbreaks of rain becoming more persistent overnight, and increasingly heavy through the early hours of Sunday morning, especially over the hills. Strong easterly winds. Lows 4°C.

SUNDAY:

Heavy rain and strong winds at first, will clear away northeast through the morning. Brighter conditions only gradually returning from the west with a few mainly light showers. Feeling warmer. Highs 13°C

MONDAY:

A drier, brighter and warmer day overall with variable cloud and some good sunny spells. Winds will be lighter, so feeling more pleasant in any sunshine. Highs to 15°C
