Duplicate fundraising page set up for disabled pensioner Alan Barnes

Questions have been raised about a new online fundraising page for Alan Barnes, the disabled pensioner who had £329k raised for his location costs after he was mugged outside his house in Gateshead.

The online crowd-funding page, which no one has yet donated to, spells Mr. Barnes' name wrongly.

Katie Cutler’s original page for Mr Barnes went global, but the 21-year-old beautician halted the donations on the request of the Barnes family.

This new page lists her as the organiser although there has been no confirmation that this is in fact the case.

ITV News Tyne Tees has contacted YouCaring and Katie Cutler for their response.
