Darlington player Tamara Taylor named as England Rugby Captain for the Six Nations

Darlington Mowden Park Sharks player, Tamara Taylor has been named as England Rugby captain for the upcoming Six Nations championship.

Taylor, has earned 77 international caps over a 15-year career with England and played an integral part in England’s successful World Cup campaign in Paris last year.

Three days after being crowned a World Champion, Tamara was back at work in her full time role as an RFU community rugby coach in South Durham and Darlington.

Tamara who lives in Gateshead and has played for Mowden Sharks for over 10 years. It is likely she will feature in the double header at the Northern Echo Arena on March 13th when England women take on Scotland in the penultimate games of the Six Nations tournament.

The tournament commences on February 8th with England facing Wales at St Helen’s RFC.
