There was 'very very bad homophobic bullying' at North East free schools, says Ofsted chief
The Chief Inspector of Ofsted, Sir Michael Wilshaw has defended his inspectors during a commons committee meeting today.
The education watchdog has put two schools in our region, Durham Free School and Grindon Hall School in Sunderland into special measures - meaning they could close or have their managers replaced.
While being questioned by the Education Select Committee, Sir Wilshaw told MPs both school were doing badly and parents deserved better.
