Decision to be made on Lendal Bridge repayment

Drivers given Penalty Charge Notices for crossing the Lendal Bridge will find out later if they will get a refund.

Around 56,000 fines totalling £1.3m were handed out during a trial to tackle congestion.

The council will decide at a meeting later whether to write to all those drivers and tell them how to apply for a refund, a proposal which would cost £150,000.

Cabinet will also be asked to further extend the deadline of the online process for Lendal Bridge repayments until 31 December 2015.
