Anti-homophobia campaign launched in South Shields
A campaign to fight homophobia has been launched in South Shields - and has already gone global.
It is the idea of Stuart Hatton, a dance teacher and model from the town who was crowned Mr Gay World last year.
The idea is simple.
Just write 'So What?' on your hand, take a photo and post it on social media.
Stuart explained the concept behind it.
Stuart received support from dozens of people from the north east at the campaign's official launch - including some celebrity backing.
The aim is to get the #SoWhat message spread around the world as part of his role as an ambassador for the LGBT community.
