Extra Metro services for Tyne-Wear derby

Nexus has confirmed that they will be providing extra Metro trains for the Tyne-Wear derby this weekend.

The game between Newcastle and Sunderland kicks-off at 1.30pm this Sunday (21 December) at St James' Park.

Newcastle and Sunderland city centres are expected to be exceptionally busy before and after the match.

There are anyway extra Metro trains at this time of year to help Christmas shoppers but more services are being provided in addition because of the derby.
