Lola Saunders: Her X Factor journey
She was the fishmonger from East Boldon who found herself in the spotlight on this year's X Factor.
Lola Saunders is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter who has worked at Latimer’s Seafood Fishmongers shop in Whitburn.
She is also the daughter of ex-Newcastle United player Wes Saunders.
Lola was praised by all the judges after belting out a rendition of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy on Saturday night’s Fright Night special (November 1).
Simon Cowell who told her it was her best performance 'by a mile'.
Even so, she found herself in the bottom two acts, facing a sing-off against 8 piece boy-band Stereo Kicks.

So what's next for Lola? She may be 'gutted' that she's left the competition, but her family say it isn't the last we will hear from her.
