Newcastle striker set to make comeback from injury
Adam Campbell will make his comeback from injury for Newcastle United tonight.
The striker, who had a hernia operation last month, is expected to play for the club’s Under-21s against Middlesbrough at Hartlepool’s Victoria Park.
Haris Vuckic, Jak Alnwick, Gael Bigirimana and Olivier Kemen are also expected to be named in Peter Beardsley’s squad for the Under-21 Premier League game.
The side are currently in second place behind leaders Arsenal but Boro - who have played a game more than the Magpies - are level on points in third place, so the Teessiders would overtake United with victory at Hartlepool United's ground.
Three points for United, however, would take them back to the top of the division, which is why Beardsley has named three players with first-team experience in his squad.
