Tour de France: a tale of two breweries in Masham

An estimated 20,000 people will watch the Tour from Masham

The Tour de France passes through Masham in North Yorkshire during Stage 1 on Saturday, but the celebrations will last all weekend.

The town is staging a beer festival among its festivities, bringing together two rival breweries, Theakston's and Black Sheep, who have put aside their differences to mark the biggest event the town has staged.

It is estimated that 20,000 people will line the route through the town.
