Blind racer hoping to beat own world record
Dare-devil driver Mike Newman already has six world speed records to his name.
That feat is even more impressive when you consider that he's been blind from birth.
Mike's next record attempt is in 12 weeks' time - to drive at more than 200 miles per hour, without a helper in the car.
Watch him practicing:
Because Mike is blind, he has to rely on everything but his sight. He already holds the current blind land speed record.
As a child, Mike's dream was to be a racing car driver.
As an adult, the Manchester man is the fastest blind driver on the planet.
The 1,000 brake horse power car has been adapted for braking and accelerating to make it more suitable for its driver.
Mike already has 6 world records under his belt. The next one at Elvington airfield will take place on August 13.
