Deaf woman hears orchestra for first time

Joanne Milne became an internet sensation being filmed hearing for the first time after having cochlear implants fitted.

She has Usher syndrome and was born profoundly deaf. But Joanne decided she wanted to be able to hear after the condition meant she started losing her sight as well.

Today she's had another landmark moment. She's been to The Sage in Gateshead where she's heard live music for the first time.
