Tinie Tempah: Why I'm returning to Middlesbrough
One of the biggest artists in the UK, Tinie Tempah, is in the region for a show in Middlesbrough.
The award winning rapper will be at TFM Soundworks April 8 as part of his Demonstration tour. He was last in Middlesbrough four years ago at a time he describes as being 'before it all kicked off'. This, he says, is the reason he is back. Not only is this a thank you to his Middlesbrough fan base for supporting him but it is an opportunity for people there to see a 'live and crazy' show.
When asked what attracted him to Middlesbrough, Tinie told ITV Tyne Tees that 'to be a British artist you have to represent the whole of Britain, not just London'.
Tinie has won MOBO awards and Brit awards. He has had massive artists feature on his own singles, including Ellie Goulding, Labrinth and 2 Chainz. He said that in the future he would like to collaborate with James Blake and Katy B. Right now, he's focussing on the new album and the Middlesbrough show, which he said he is is 'super excited for'.
Middlesbrough isn't the only place in the North East this superstar likes.
