Ross meets Bertie the agoraphobic owl
He should be out hunting for rodents and hiding away from the daylight - but the outside life is not for this tawny owl.
Bertie has developed a fear of the outdoors - and would rather just warm his feet on the Aga at the Trewitley Owl Trust in Northumberland.
Bertie was rescued at just a few weeks old covered in mud and suffering from a foot disease.
After overcoming that trauma he had become accustomed to his creature comforts and refused to move outside.
Despite attempts to move him to a more traditional habitat - Bertie wanted to stay put.
