Youngsters write their own book
Youngsters at a Tyneside High School have gone on a literary journey with the help of a published author.
The Year 7, 8 and 9 students at St Cuthbert's Catholic High, in Newcastle, have published a collection of short stories.
The youngsters didn't have to look far for inspiration. The project is the brainchild of author Craig Allen, who doubles up as the Assistant Head of Year 11
The aim of the project was to encourage the boys to take up reading, something that Craig himself admits he didn't do until he was 20 years old.
Those involved say it has been a hugely rewarding experience.
The book goes on sale from today.
