Murder hunt leaflets for football fans

Police hunting the murderer of 32 year old John Roberts of Winlaton have handed out leaflets to Newcastle United football fans.

Mr Roberts was found dead in his home in Park Terrace four weeks ago. He was a keen Newcastle supporter and sold Newcastle badges outside the ground.

Police hope fans may have information which will help their investigation. They are also making inquiries in the area around the Kandola store in Hazel Road, Winlaton, where Mr Roberts was last seen alive on Saturday 15th December.
