Life-saving operation for Middlesbrough baby

Nine month old Danny Bryan from Middlesbrough has been given a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Danny has Wiskott Aldrich syndrome which affects his immune system and makes it difficult for his blood to clot.

Danny was given new bone marrow from an anonymous donor in Germany. The transplant was carried out at the Bubble Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
