Dalby Forest gigs sell out

Will Young Credit: Forestry Commission

Ten thousand people will pack into the Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire at the end of the month to see Will Young and Plan B perform amongst the trees.

The Forestry Commission says the open air gigs on the 29th and 30th of June have sold out. 10,000 music fans will be heading to the two gigs in the 3,440 hectare (8,600 acre) beauty spot near Pickering.

Money raised by the Forestry Commission Live Music tour helps care for woodlands in Yorkshire and the Tees Valley.

The forest will be closed to the general public both days from 4pm. Concert goers are advised to wear outdoor clothing and bring a torch but despite the wild location there will be bars and catering. But to preserve the forest no glass, cans, umbrellas, tables, tents or gazebos are allowed.
