500 children in Jubilee parade
Hundreds of children from schools throughout Northumberland have taken part in a Diamond Jubilee parade in Hexham. They walked from the Sele to Hexham Abbey where there was a special service to celebrate the Queen's 60 years on the throne.
The event was the brainchild of the Duchess of Northumberland who wanted to make sure that children weren't left out of the 60th anniversary celebrations. The service was followed by a picnic in the grounds of the Abbey.
