"Crown Jewels" to visit Sunderland

As part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations this June the official replica Crown Jewels will be on display in the city for the first time.

Sunderland City Council and the Bridges shopping centre have secured the rights to display the official replica Crown Jewels at the Bridges during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations from 1 to 6 June.

The display will include the Imperial State Crown, the Queen Mother's Crown, the Sword of State and Queen Victoria's coronation ring.
