Push for Katrice Lee files
Katrice Lee was two years old when she went missing at a NAAFI supermarket in Germany. Ever since, her family have been campaigning for the case files to be released.
Iain Wright, the MP for Hartlepool, has now taken up the cause. Speaking in the House of Common, he asked the leader Sir George Young for the government to pressure the Royal Military Police to release the files. It is now expected that the Foreign Secretary William Hague will look at the case.
The Royal Military Police say it would be inappropriate to comment while the investigation is ongoing but they are now looking at the case again.
