The animal found itself wedged in a narrow gap between the floats of a seaplane and a dock in Beluga Lake in the town of Homer, south of Anchorage.

The chick was left trapped on the edge of the nest after being flipped there by a fish one of the parent Osprey's had caught and brought to the nest.

Two seals rescued by the GSPCA animal charity last December have been released back into the wild from a Guernsey beach.
