The family of a 15-year-old boy who drowned in a lake in Wigan are calling for more safety equipment around open waters

It's believed they were due to be used by organised crime groups for people smuggled across the Channel in small boats.

Today (1 September) marks the end of the peak season and the charity is offering lifesaving safety advice to people visiting the coast during the winter months.
