An eco campaigner says Windermere is an 'open sewer' after claims that United Utilities dumped hundreds of millions of litres of sewage without reporting it

The regulator has said the company can charge customers more after a report into England and Wales' water suppliers.

The funding proposed for 2025 would see improvements across nine wastewater treatment works and all six storm overflows that discharge into the lake.
