Tynemouth Pool

Councillors say they are "minded" to grant the go-ahead to restore the almost century old outdoor pool however approval is subject to several conditions.

The pool at Longsands Beach was closed in the 1990s and fell into disrepair.

A group campaigning to reopen the Tynemouth lido has received a £50k grant from the Government's Coastal Revival Fund.
