Jersey's government says technical issues mean the discharge from the Sewage Treatment Works "might temporarily not be at its usual standard."

The eight-week project will see some rocks removed and an extra fence put up to stop more rockfall onto the path.

Authorities said they have decided to indefinitely extend the closure of Maya beach until it recovers from the environmental damage caused.
