Strawberries

Higher temperatures and sunshine last week helped to deliver more than 150 tonnes of fruit, approximately 375,000 boxes of berries.

Strawberries are generally associated with the summer months of June and July. But a new variety is now being grown which could be grown into the autumn.

The cool Spring has meant the first crops in the South East have arrived later than expected.
