Hundreds of musicians have signed an open letter addressing some of artificial intelligence's threats to human artistry.

The American singer-songwriter was nominated to get Newcastle’s top civic award in recognition of his work as a cultural “pioneer”.

Wonder stopped repeatedly between tracks to thank fans for their support over the years.
