Jersey Electricity's CEO believes the island can become less reliant on imported energy if more solar developments are installed.

There are calls for Jersey's government to help islanders install solar panels, but the Environment Minister says it is better to focus elsewhere.

The energy site would provide electricity for the James Cropper paper mill, near Kendal, and would work towards its carbon neutral ambitions.
