River Tweed

Plans for a new trail running the length of the Tweed have received a multi-million pound funding boost.

30 farmers and other businesses will face a ban on being able to take water from the river from midnight on 18 August 2022.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency says it is aware of a leaking pipe at Cardrona. They believe the problem has been exacerbated by low water levels.
