River Ouseburn

Pollution in the River Ouseburn poses a “significant health risk” to people “wading or splashing around” according to a report.

Police received reports of an illegal rave inside the tunnels underneath the bridges at the mouth of the River Ouseburn on Sunday

The river has been diverted as part of a scheme to protect the Brunton Park area of Newcastle, which was affected by flooding in 2008.
