Restoration

The historic venue held an open day with entertainment to give people a chance to view the building before the two-year restoration.

A structural survey in 2019 found the building, one of the first purpose-built museums in the UK, needs urgent repairs.

A paint colour has been chosen as work is underway to complete renovations ahead of the iconic landmark's centenary celebrations in October 2028.
