Conservative Member of Parliament Sir Roger Gale hopes the new Independent Water Commission will endorse plans to build a water reservoir in East Kent.

It's claimed the £340m project at Havant Thicket will supply up to 21 million litres of water each day.

The walkway over St Saviour's Reservoir in Guernsey will be closed to the public for two months. The rest of the Millennium Walk will still remain accessible.
