Racing Pigeon

The last of Jersey's pigeon racing clubs says it fears for the sport's future, and wants to change perceptions of the bird.

A pigeon that was facing death after flying from the US to Australia has been spared after it was discovered he did not, in fact, fly between the two countries.

The exhausted bird landed in a Melbourne garden on Boxing Day after disappearing during a race in the US state of Oregon on October 29.
