A doctor who treated Yulia Skripal told an inquiry that he was "gobsmacked" when she woke up four days after being poisoned by the nerve agent Novichok.

Dr Stephen Cockcroft was the ICU consultant who treated Sergei and Yulia Skripal in the first 24 hours after they arrived at Salisbury Hospital.
