Islanders are calling for changes to be made to Jersey's complicated planning system, which they say is a barrier to vital island development.

Jersey's Planning Committee has unanimously voted against converting the former Nude Dunes restaurant into a self-catering accommodation.

The dilapidated building was originally developed in the 1780s and has been used as a hospital and care home.
