Overturned Lorry

Investigations are continuing into the cause of a serious crash which left a lorry carrying chickens on its side on the A75 in Dumfries and Galloway.

The M6 in Cumbria ground to a halt this afternoon after a trailer carrying livestock overturned between J43 and 44 near Carlisle.

All three lanes on the motorway are now open again.
