The first chick fathered by a Kielder fledged Osprey in 200 years has been ringed in order to keep track of its migration

Ospreys have not nested in Britain for centuries, and wildlife experts believe it may have been just stopping off on a long journey.

The birds were extinct in Cumbria for over 150 years, but numbers are gradually rising. 

Ospreys were extinct in England for more than 150 years and now the 150th chick has been born near Rutland Water.
