The parents of young boy whose life was saved by air ambulance paramedics say they "owe them everything" as the service marks 25 years since its first flight.

The helmet, worth around £2,000, was taken from the North West Air Ambulance helicopter by a group of youths on bikes, who took it as they cycled past.

Police received reports that a little boy "required urgent medical attention", after falling out of a window of a house.
