Newton Rigg

The sale of a farm belonging to Newton Rigg Agricultural College has been completed. The charity says it will keep it as an educational facility.

The Ernest Cook Trust will continue to operate Low Beckside Farm, Mungrisdale, as a crucial learning resource for the region.

Campaigners who've been fighting to save a Cumbrian agricultural college now want to create a new education facility on or close to the existing site.
