Teenager Lily Nichol landed back in Britain on a medical plane, three weeks after a freak accident which left her needing surgery on her broken back and jaw.

The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust had a series of conditions imposed on it after it was downgraded to 'requires improvement'.

A man climbed onto an internal roof at the hospital and refused to come down.
