The Grade II listed site will be designed to attract new visitors, support youth work and community use.

Campaigners want more of the island's coast to be safeguarded as it harbours great biodiversity. 

If the bid is successful, the people of Plymouth would learn more about marine life and have a better relationship with the ocean.
