Jersey's health department has been able to cut its waiting times by having both of its MRI scanners running at the same time since September.

After experiencing some occasional wobbling Chaka the Fairy penguin was taken to specialists for an MRI to investigate his balance issues.

Despite the delays for publicly funded patients, private patients are waiting less than 17 days on average for any type of MRI.
