Hawick born Steve Hislop was a British motorcycling champion and was just 41 when he was killed in a helicopter crash in 2003.

Issues around viewing an insurance policy, coupled with uncertainty around funding were cited as significant factors in their decision to abandon their plans.

Bike racer William Dunlop, who died tragically in 2018, is commemorated in the Dunlop memorial garden, opened today in Ballymoney by his brother and uncle.
