The government have published their energy strategy which includes eight more nuclear sites such as Cumbria's Moorside.

The borough is in the running to be the site where a new type of nuclear reactor could be built.

Moorside is one of five locations across the UK which has been earmarked as the potential site. A decision is expected next year.

New figures show three out of every five jobs in west Cumbria depend on the nuclear industry. 

Plans for how the proposed Moorside Power Station would be connected to the National Grid were unveiled today.
