More than a thousand campaigners took to the streets of Stroud to protest at the 'closure' of the town's maternity hospital

The March with Midwives movement hosted 'vigils' across the country. On Sunday supporters protested at Grey's Monument asking for more Government support.

Maternity facilities will not be available at Pontefract Hospital until September next year due to staff shortages.
