Laura Landeg, from Cardiff, said she was left "begging for help" after experiencing depression and anxiety before and after the birth of her daughter Ava.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council noted other reasons for leaving included "physical and mental health" as well as retirement.

Members of the Royal College of Midwives working in Northern Ireland will take strike action in April.
